<p>Do you remember that first spark of hope you felt when you watched  The Secret? I clearly remember the desire that filled my heart, knowing  that – Yes, I can make my dreams come true – FINALLY!</p>
<p>But how many of you soon saw that hope dwindle into frustration? How  many of you (and be honest now) started muttering things like:</p>
<p>- “It seems to work for other people, but I just can’t get it right.”</p>
<p>- “I’m frustrated that sometimes I can get it to work, but sometimes I can’t. What’s the trick?”</p>
<p>- “Why am I having so much trouble?”</p>
<p>- “I think the universe is against me.”</p>
<p>- “I’m trying very, VERY hard but still nothing is happening!”</p>
<p>Don’t worry, you’re not alone. About 97% of people also couldn’t  make the Law of Attraction work for them the first time round. Think  about it, just like anything else, you have to practice many times  before you see success. A child doesn’t learn to walk without falling  over a couple of times, right?</p>

<p>Well, it’s the same thing with your mind. If the only thing your  mind is doing is transmit, transmit, transmit, the universe — which is  trying to respond — can’t give you a single thing because you’re not  allowing yourself to receive!</p>
<p>So, have the confidence in yourself and stop exhausting yourself by  running around person to person begging for riches, and then wondering  why nobody is dropping a penny in your cup (Hint: It’s because you’re  running away too fast for them before they can even reach for their  wallets).</p>
<p>Just think of your desires and leave it out there, go away, and  trust that your cup will be filled with gold coins (or whatever it is  you asked for) when the time is right.</p>
<p><ins>2. Be Patient With Yourself</ins></p>
<p>Receiving takes time.</p>
<p>Sadly, many people give up just a couple of steps before the finish  line because they’ve decided that if it’s not working by now, it’s never  going to work at all. Worse still are those who throw in more and more  energy because they think that with more resources, the results will  come faster.</p>
<p>This is like expecting 9 mothers to conceive and deliver a baby in 1  month. You also can’t bake cookies in half the time by doubling the  temperature. You’ll incinerate those cookies to ashes!</p>
<p>In simple terms: Everything in this world has a natural development  time, and this fact will not change no matter what resources you throw  at it.</p>
<p>So relax and be patient. Remember that you too, as part of the  universe, are also governed by the laws of the universe, and you cannot  change the natural development time.</p>
<p>If you remember this, you will less likely work yourself up into  frustration, or worse, push yourself into a downward spiral of  negativity.</p>
<p><ins>3. Support and Educate Yourself</ins></p>
<p>Like the child who is learning how to walk, you need support. You  also need to guidance on how to do it, and also the role models to look  up to.</p>
<p>Many people give up because they think that “The Secret” is the “be all and end all” solution. Well, it’s NOT. “The Secret” is just a small portion. It was never intended, and has never been, the whole answer.</p>
<p>Coming to the conclusion that the Law of Attraction doesn’t work  when all you ever did to educate yourself was watch “The Secret” 19  times (without looking at changing the habits of other areas of your  life) is like coming to the conclusion that exercising is not an  effective way to lose weight because all you did is run on the treadmill  for 2 hours a day (but you’re still stuffing yourself with fried foods  and cheesecakes).</p>
<p>So seek and be hungry for new knowledge. Also, make an effort to be  amongst people or communities where you can support each other, learn  from each other and also share new knowledge that you have found.</p>

When you start to learn more about you, you can then reach out further to expand your knowledge and skills.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>With all the talk about it these days, you might be wondering, “What is BMI?”  There&#8217;s no magic to it, no secret formula, even though sometimes the way it&#8217;s talked about it sounds like some sort of mantra for weight loss and health.  BMI isn&#8217;t a meditation or an exercise or diet plan, it&#8217;s simply the measure of your body mass.  It compares your weight and height, and boils that ratio down to a number.  Depending where your number is on the scale, it tells you if you&#8217;re underweight for your height, overweight, or obese.</p>
<p>So what is BMI, in general?  BMI, or body mass index, is a tool of body mass measurement that was created in the early 1800s by Adolphe Quetelet. This is why sometimes you might see BMI referred to as the Quetelet index.  Adolphe Quetelet was mathematician, statistician, and an astronomer, among other things.  He developed the BMI while working on social physics.  The BMI is still used today with very few variations on his original invention.</p>
<p>What is BMI, specifically?  BMI doesn&#8217;t measure body fat, but instead compares a person&#8217;s weight and height to estimate a healthy body weight for that person&#8217;s height.  It&#8217;s widely used to determine if someone is technically overweight or obese.  Though it&#8217;s the not the final tool in diagnosing obesity or overweight, because it&#8217;s not without its flaws for certain body types, it&#8217;s still in use in the medical community.</p>
<p>The formula for BMI is simple:  Take your height in meters squared (your height times itself) and then divide your weight in kilograms by that number.  For example, if I&#8217;m 5 feet tall, that&#8217;s about 1.5 meters. 1.5 squared (1.5 times 1.5) equals 2.5. If I weigh 120 pounds, that&#8217;s about 54.5 kilograms.  So I need to divide 54.5 by 2.5 which gives me a result of  21.8 as my BMI. So what does that number mean? A BMI of 18.5 or below indicates that an individual is underweight. The normal weight range is from 18.5 to 24.9.  Overweight people will calculate a BMI of 25 to 29.9.  A BMI of 30 or greater indicates obesity.  Someone five feet tall weighing 120 pounds falls into the normal weight range.</p>
<p>Where BMI fails is with extremely muscular people.  It doesn&#8217;t distinguish between muscle and fat, instead using total weight as the measure.  So according to the BMI, bodybuilders are likely to measure as obese which is inaccurate.  Most athletes like wrestlers, footballs players and any athletes with a large amount of lean muscle are going to measure as overweight or obese.  But for most people, BMI is a fairly accurate measure of their level of underweight or overweight.</p>
<p>Now that you know the formula, you know that BMI is as simple as a single math problem, and a single number.  Next time you&#8217;re faced with the question, “What is BMI?” you&#8217;ll know there&#8217;s no magic to it, it&#8217;s simply a measure of a person&#8217;s body weight compared to his or her height.</p>

<p>Acne normally affects your face but it can also appear on your scalp, back and chest. It is not easy to treat due to the fact that in addition to tender pimples, your skin is also easily irritated. An outbreak of acne tends to coincide with an increase in hormones hence why teenagers suffer. This is also the reason why pregnant women and those approaching the menopause can also suddenly fall victim to zits.</p>
<p>But it is not only your hormones that can trigger an attack. Taking a new birth control pill or using new cosmetics may also be the culprit. <p>Acne skin care treatments begin by trying to reduce the amount of oil on your skin. Don’t scrub your face too often though as this will only lead to irritation.  Instead gently cleanse your skin twice a day. You should ensure that your cosmetics are formulated to help combat acne.  You need to use oil free moisturisers, toners and cleansers.</p>
<p>Your aim is to keep your pores clear of blockages i.e. preventing the whiteheads and blackheads that lead to pimples. One way of doing this is to use a natural face mask. Watercress contains lots of vitamin A and C so is a very healthy addition to your salad or soup. But you can also use it to make a face mask as it is a natural antiseptic. Blend some watercress with natural yogurt and add a couple of spoons of coarse oatmeal. Instead of your usual cleanser, apply some of this mixture with cotton wool and then gently rinse off residue with warm water.</p>
<p>Tomatoes are a natural blackhead remover. The fruit acids will gently remove the top layer of dead skin thus allowing the pores to breathe. Simply cut up a tomato and use the slices to cover your entire face. Lie back and relax for 15 minutes.  Then wash off with warm water and fresh cotton wool.</p>
